Unsent Journal: Letters
Novixa-Labs ("we", "us", or "our") operates the mobile application Unsent Journal: Letters (package name: com.novixalabs.unsentjournal). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your choices.
By installing or using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Unsent Journal is a creative private letter journal — a digital space to write letters you do not send, with optional rituals (seal, release, burn) for emotional closure. It is a journaling and creative expression tool, not a game and not medical or therapy care.

The app saves data on your phone using encrypted local storage, for example:
This data stays on your device unless you export a backup, share content yourself, uninstall the app, or clear app data. We do not operate a cloud sync account for your letters.
When you add an image, the app uses the Android system photo picker or document APIs so you choose what to attach. We do not request broad gallery access to scan your library in the background.
When you record a voice note, the app uses the microphone only while you are recording. Audio is stored locally as part of your letter attachments.
Media you attach is processed locally on your device. We do not upload your letters, voice notes, or images to our servers.

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to diagnose crashes. These services are provided by Google and are not used to sell your personal information.

We use this information only to measure performance, understand which features are used, and fix bugs. Firebase may process data on servers operated by Google. See Firebase Privacy and Google Privacy Policy.
If AdMob and Firebase are linked in Google's developer consoles, Google may combine certain analytics signals for ad measurement on the developer side. Ad personalization is still controlled by your Android ad settings, UMP choices, and by purchasing Unsent Plus.
If you have not purchased Unsent Plus, the app may display advertisements through Google AdMob and AdMob Mediation partners. Formats include banner ads, full-screen interstitial ads (for example after certain rituals), and optional rewarded video ads (for example to unlock a single PDF export). Mediation may include certified networks such as InMobi, Unity Ads, Meta Audience Network, AppLovin, and Liftoff (Vungle), depending on availability in your region. The app may also use a Unity Ads client fallback when mediation does not fill an ad request.
The app declares the com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID permission so ad partners can access the Android Advertising ID (GAID) where permitted by Google Play policy and your device settings.

This data is used to deliver, measure, personalize (where allowed), and limit ads, and to prevent fraud. We do not receive your letter content, voice notes, or imported photos from ad networks for advertising purposes.
Location: We do not access your device's GPS or precise location for app features. Some ad SDKs (for example InMobi) may declare a location permission in their library manifest; we remove those permissions from the published app because we do not use precise location. Ad partners may still infer approximate location from your IP address to serve and measure ads, consistent with Google Play Data safety disclosures.
You can limit ad personalization in Android Settings → Google → Ads, use Ad privacy choices in the app when offered, or purchase Unsent Plus to stop ad display entirely.

We offer a one-time, non-consumable in-app product (Unsent Plus, product ID unsent_journal_pro) processed by Google Play Billing. This is not a subscription. Google processes payment; we do not store your credit card or bank details.

Purchase history is managed by Google Play. Use Restore purchase in the app if you reinstall on the same Google account. Free users may still unlock a single export by watching a rewarded ad instead of buying Plus.

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
To remove all app data: Android Settings → Apps → Unsent Journal → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app. You can also delete all data from in-app Privacy & security settings.
Letter data is encrypted on device with SQLCipher. We use reasonable measures for HTTPS when the app communicates with ad, billing, and analytics services. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you control what you write, attach, export, and share.

The app is offered globally. Data processed on your device is controlled by you on your device. Ad and payment partners may process data in various countries according to their policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version at the same URL and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
