Junk Journal: Scrapbook Art

Novixa-Labs ("we", "us", or "our") operates the mobile application Junk Journal: Scrapbook Art (package name: com.novixalabs.junkjournal). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your choices.

By installing or using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Summary (Plain Language)

Junk Journal: Scrapbook Art is a creative digital scrapbooking app. You design journal pages with craft papers, stickers, ephemera, photos, and text, then export or share your work.

• We do not require you to create an account.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• Journals and pages you create are stored on your device.
• Photos you import stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them.
• The free version may show ads (banner, native, interstitial, and optional rewarded ads). You can watch a rewarded ad to unlock individual craft packs one at a time, or buy a one-time Junk Journal Pro purchase (about US $4.99) to remove all ads permanently and unlock every pack and Pro feature.
• We use Google Firebase for anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting to improve the app. This is separate from advertising and we do not sell this data.

2. What the App Does

The app provides:

• Create and edit digital junk-journal / collage pages on a canvas
• Import photos via the Android system photo picker
• Download and use craft packs (papers, stickers, ephemera, fonts) from our content servers
• Layer, move, resize, and arrange elements on your pages
• Export finished pages as PNG or PDF, save to gallery, or share via the system share sheet
• Local saving of your journals, layouts, and preferences
• Optional advertising (including rewarded ads to unlock craft packs) and optional one-time in-app purchase for Pro
• Anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting (Firebase) to improve stability and features

3. Information We Access

A. Information stored on your device (local only)

The app saves data on your phone using Android local storage, for example:

• Your journals, pages, and collage layouts
• Imported photo files you choose to place on a page
• App preferences, language settings, and onboarding flags
• Whether you purchased Junk Journal Pro (premium entitlement flag)
• Which craft packs you have unlocked or downloaded
• Cached copies of downloaded craft-pack assets

This data stays on your device unless you uninstall the app or clear app data. We do not operate a cloud sync account for journals.

B. Photos and media

When you import a photo, the app opens the Android system photo picker so you can choose an image. We do not request broad gallery access (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES).

When you save an export to the gallery, the app writes only that exported image or PDF via the system MediaStore. We do not scan your photo library in the background.

Photos you place on a page are processed locally on your device to render your journal. We do not upload your imported photos or finished journals to our servers.

C. Internet access

The app uses the internet to:

• Download craft-pack catalogs and assets (papers, stickers, ephemera)
• Check for catalog updates
• Load and display advertisements
• Process in-app purchases through Google Play
• Send anonymous analytics events and crash reports to Firebase (Google)

D. Analytics and crash reporting (Firebase)

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to diagnose crashes. These services are provided by Google and are not used to sell your personal information.

Firebase may collect or receive:

• App version, device model, and Android OS version
• Screen views, session duration, and general usage events (for example: page created, export completed, Junk Journal Pro unlocked)
• Crash logs, error messages, and stack traces when the app fails
• An app instance identifier (we do not receive your name, email, or contacts from Firebase for this purpose)

We use this information only to measure performance, understand which features are used, and fix bugs. Firebase may process data on servers operated by Google. See Firebase Privacy and Google Privacy Policy.

If AdMob and Firebase are linked in Google's developer consoles, Google may combine certain analytics signals for ad measurement on the developer side. Ad personalization is still controlled by your Android ad settings and by purchasing Junk Journal Pro.

4. Advertising & Advertising ID

If you have not purchased Junk Journal Pro, the app may display advertisements through Google AdMob and AdMob Mediation partners. Formats include banner ads, native ads, full-screen interstitial ads (for example after export), and optional rewarded video ads. Rewarded ads are shown only when you choose to unlock a locked craft pack; if you watch the ad completely, that pack is unlocked on your device. Mediation may include certified networks such as Meta Audience Network, AppLovin, Unity Ads, and Liftoff (Vungle), depending on availability in your region. The app may also use a Unity Ads client fallback when mediation does not fill an ad request.

The app declares the com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID permission so ad partners can access the Android Advertising ID (GAID) where permitted by Google Play policy and your device settings.

These services may collect or receive:

• Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / GAID) and device identifiers permitted by Google Play
• IP address, device type, OS version, and ad interaction data
• Approximate location derived from IP (not precise GPS from us)

This data is used to deliver, measure, and limit ads, and to prevent fraud. We do not receive your name, email, journal content, or imported photos from ad networks for advertising purposes.

You can limit ad personalization in Android Settings → Google → Ads, or purchase Junk Journal Pro in the app to stop ad display entirely.

5. In-App Purchases (Junk Journal Pro)

We offer a one-time, non-consumable in-app product (Junk Journal Pro, product ID junk_journal_pro, typically priced around US $4.99) processed by Google Play Billing. This is not a subscription. Google processes payment; we do not store your credit card or bank details.

When you purchase Junk Journal Pro:

• All banner, native, interstitial, and rewarded ads are disabled on that Google account
• The export watermark is removed
• Every premium craft pack is unlocked

Google may share with us:

• Purchase confirmation and product ID (to unlock Pro features on your device)
• Anonymous transaction tokens required to restore purchases

Purchase history is managed by Google Play. Use Restore purchases in the app if you reinstall on the same Google account. Free users may still unlock individual packs by watching rewarded ads instead of buying Pro.

6. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or require:

• Name, email, or phone number (unless you email us for support voluntarily)
• Precise location (GPS)
• Contact list, SMS, call logs, or calendar
• Broad access to your photo library (only photos you explicitly pick)
• Your journal content, layouts, or exports (unless you choose to share them yourself)

We do not operate user accounts or social login in this app.

7. Third-Party Services

This app uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase Analytics — app usage and screen analytics (Firebase Privacy)
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash and error reporting (Firebase Privacy)
• Google AdMob — advertising (Google Privacy Policy)
• AdMob Mediation partners — Meta, AppLovin, Unity, Liftoff (each has its own privacy policy)
• Unity Ads — mediation partner and client-side ad fallback
• Google Play Billing — in-app purchases
• Content CDN — hosts craft-pack assets (public URLs only)

8. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

• Local journals and preferences remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall.
• Cached craft-pack assets are deleted when you clear cache or uninstall.
• Support emails are kept only as long as needed to respond to your request.
• Ad partners retain data according to their own policies and your device settings.
• Analytics and crash data in Firebase is retained according to Google's default retention periods and is not linked to your identity by us.

To remove all app data: Android Settings → Apps → Junk Journal → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect content delivered over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Because journals and photos are processed on your device, you control what you import, export, and share.

11. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

• Purchase Junk Journal Pro to disable all advertising
• Reset or opt out of personalized ads in Android ad settings
• Choose which photos to import via the system photo picker (or cancel)
• Clear app data or uninstall at any time (this stops local data and future analytics/crash reports from your device)
• Contact us to ask questions about this policy

12. International Users

The app is offered globally. Data processed on your device is controlled by you on your device. Ad and payment partners may process data in various countries according to their policies.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version at the same URL and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
