Drowsy: Yawn Game & Sleep

Novixa-Labs ("we", "us", or "our") operates the mobile application Drowsy (package name: com.novixalabs.drowsy). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your choices.

By installing or using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Summary (Plain Language)

• No account is required.
• Your sleep diary, game stats, and preferences stay on your device.
• Camera frames during the yawn challenge are processed on-device only and are never uploaded.
• User-recorded yawn reels are saved locally on your phone unless you choose to share them.
• Current version (v1.0.0): no ads and no in-app purchases.

2. What the App Does

Drowsy provides:

• A "Try Not To Yawn" camera challenge with on-device face detection
• Vertical yawn reels and optional user-created reel recording
• Ambient sleep sounds and wind-down sessions with a sleep timer
• A local sleep diary and optional bedtime reminder notifications
• Challenge invites you can share with friends via links

3. Information Stored on Your Device

The app may store locally using device storage:

• Sleep diary entries (bedtime, wake time, mood, notes)
• Game statistics (best time, level, streak, attempts)
• Player display name and app preferences
• Downloaded reel/sound cache for offline playback
• User-created reel recordings you save in the app
• Bedtime reminder schedule settings
• Premium / remove-ads status (when in-app purchases are enabled in a future update)

This data stays on your device unless you clear app data, uninstall, or explicitly share content (e.g. a challenge link or exported reel).

4. Camera & Microphone

Camera

The yawn challenge and reel recording features use your front camera with on-device face detection (MediaPipe). Camera data is processed live on your device to detect yawning during gameplay or to record a reel you choose to save. We do not upload camera video to our servers.

Microphone

If you record reels with audio, microphone access is used only while recording and the clip is saved locally on your device unless you share it yourself.

5. Network Use

Drowsy may download public content catalogs and media from our content CDN (GitHub / jsDelivr). These requests do not include personal identifiers. The app may also download typography (Google Fonts) over HTTPS.

Current version (v1.0.0): we do not show advertisements and we do not offer in-app purchases.

6. Notifications

If you enable bedtime reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device using Android's alarm/notification system. No notification content is sent to our servers.

7. Sharing & Deep Links

When you share a challenge invite, the app generates a link (e.g. drowsy://challenge or an optional web link). Only the information you choose to share is included in that link. We do not receive your camera feed through sharing.

8. Advertising (AdMob) — not active in v1.0.0

AdMob is not enabled in the current release. If we turn ads on later, AdMob may use advertising identifiers according to Google's policies, and we will update this Privacy Policy and the Play Store Ads / Data safety forms before that release.

9. In-App Purchases — not active in v1.0.0

In-app purchases are not enabled in the current release. If we offer a Premium / remove-ads purchase later, transactions will be processed by Google Play Billing. Payment details are handled by Google, not by us.

10. Information We Do Not Collect

• Name, email, or phone number (unless you email us for support voluntarily)
• Precise GPS location
• Contacts, SMS, call logs, or calendar
• Passwords or account credentials (there is no app login)

11. Third-Party Services

• Google Play — app distribution
• GitHub / jsDelivr — public content catalog and media CDN
• Google Fonts — typography (may download over HTTPS)
• Google ML Kit / MediaPipe — on-device face mesh processing

Not active in v1.0.0: Google AdMob advertising and Google Play Billing purchases.

12. Children's Privacy

Drowsy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Data Retention and Deletion

• Local data remains until you clear app data or uninstall.
• Support emails are kept only as long as needed to respond.

To remove all app data: Android Settings → Apps → Drowsy → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app.

14. Not a Medical Device

Drowsy is a relaxation and entertainment app. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or sleep disorder. Do not use the app while driving or operating machinery.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
